But invasive bullfrogs are very destructive to the environment.Possible solutions: Impose a temporary ban on importing bullfrogs. Simultaneously offer a bounty to enterprising frog hunters, with the captured bullfrogs turned over to chefs. As for the contest itself, putting the animals down afterward would not be acceptable to animal rights advocates. MINNEAPOLIS — Twins shortstop Carlos Correa said before the Giants’ series opener here Monday that he was “shocked” and “surprised” by the failed physical that scuttled his offseason megadeal with San Francisco but was nonetheless laudatory of the organization and his interactions during the free-agent process.“I’m the type of guy that turns the page really easily,” Correa said in his first comments to Bay Area media since re-signing in Minnesota on a substantially smaller deal. “It was definitely different. It was very unexpected. But at the same time, it had to happen that way and I’m very happy that I’m here now, today.”Correa and his family, along with his agent Scott Boras, had already checked in to a San Francisco hotel for his introductory press conference when he was informed that the Giants were backing out of their 13-year, $350 million agreement over concerns about his right ankle, which was surgically repaired when he...Letters: Supreme Court | Not buying | Guns’ other toll | Radical concept | Legitimate use
