Police believe a 15-year-old girl wounded in a shooting Tuesday afternoon was an innocent bystander.Preliminary information indicated two males were shooting at each other in the Payne-Phalen area about 3:30 p.m. when the girl was shot in the leg, said Sgt. Mike Ernster, a police spokesman. Both shooters ran away.Police found one suspect, a 16-year-old, and arrested him. ALBANY, N.Y. (NEWS10) -- On Tuesday, a City of Albany man was arrested following an active domestic dispute. Police driving on Washington Avenue say they observed a physical altercation between Teadric R. Moten, 22, and his girlfriend. Police learned Moten had also forcibly removed the victim's eyeglasses from her face. Police say Moten fled on foot when they tried to intercept the domestic incident. A pedestrian was killed in a vehicle collision that forced the closure of eastbound Hampden Avenue Wednesday morning, according to the Englewood Police Department.Shortly after 7:30 a.m., police closed West Hampden Avenue’s eastbound lanes starting at the intersection with South Santa Fe Drive. A wildfire that broke out west of Colorado Springs within the burn scar from the 2012 Waldo Canyon fire has been mostly snuffed and firefighters who quickly surrounded it were monitoring hot spots early Wednesday.The National Weather Service has issued a red flag warning for the Colorado Front Range mountain foothills and the eastern plains due to record heat, dry grass, wind and low humidity — conditions that favor fire.About 50 firefighters were deployed to suppress this Rampart fire, which burned about 20 acres of grass and Ponderosa pines, 2.5 miles southeast of Woodland Park, on U.S. Forest Service land in western El Paso County.
